3:00pm // Come out to the historic Green Mill (4802 N Broadway St, Chicago, IL 60640) for another installment of The Paper Machete hosted by Christopher Piatt. Tonight’s featured lineup includes performances by Christopher Melcher, Alison Gates and more. There will be live music provided by Archie Powell and the Exports and organist, Chris Foreman. Free event.
10:30pm // In what will surely be a historic event, come see Ian Belknap engage in a profanity-free performance. The Ray’s Tap Reading Series is back at the Prop Thtr (3502 N Elston Ave, Chicago, IL 60618). Come witness Daniel Shapiro, Carly Oishi, Alicia Swiz, Mason Johnson and more literary luminaries attempt not to swear onstage in a reformed edition of the famously loud and profane Ray’s Tap Reading Series. $15, pay-what-you-can.
