“I was born inside the movie of my life. The visuals were before me, the audio surrounded me, the plot unfolded inevitably but not necessarily. I don’t remember how I got into the movie, but it continues to entertain me.”
― Roger Ebert
Movies have the ability to transport us to places we’ve never been. They have the ability to make us dream and cultivate our imagination in ways we can’t even imagine. Movies can act as footnotes and headings to important epochs and experiences in our lives.
From February 10th until March 15th, we’re gathering art, essays, fiction, short film and photography submissions that deal with the art of cinema.
Please limit one submission until otherwise requested. Essays and fiction should not exceed 2,000 words. Art and photography can be sent in bundles of four. Short films must not exceed 20 minutes.
*We are not accepting poetry at this time.
